(TEXT : Proverbs 3:6)
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

FOCUS :

As we bring this series to a close today, I want us to know that we can’t do anything without God in our journey here on earth. Yesterday, we spoke about you “putting your trust in God only, with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding.” In the journey of life, we can’t put God behind in any of our plans or schedules. You can’t “rule as a king or as a queen” in this world of “unknown” on your own if you are not putting God in your kingdom.

In addition, today we want to talk about “in all your ways acknowledge God.” Once again you are not “perfect than God”; and you can never occupied God’s space in your journey of life: you play your path and you allow God to direct your path. Surrender to God and let Him lead you in the journey of life. In your ministry acknowledge God, in your business acknowledge God, in your marriage acknowledge God, in your relationship acknowledge God, in your career acknowledge God, and in every areas of your life acknowledge God.

Job 6:18 The paths of their way are turned aside; they go to nothing, and perish.

Job 8:13 So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite’s hope shall perish:

Psalms 17:5 Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.

Finally, God will always direct the path of those who are 100 percent obedience to Him in all their ways. You can’t successfully watch your own back by yourself in this wicked world if God is not helping you to do the watching. God is the only “director” giving everyone the right script to play in the movie of the journey of life and we are just an “actors and actresses.” Allow God to lead the way for you and it will be easy for you to follow. In this small world, we all have many paths in it that we can follow, but the right path of them all is you letting God to be the “DIRECTOR OF YOUR PATHS.”

Job 33:11 He putteth my feet in the stocks, he marketh all my paths.

Psalms 25:4 Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.

Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

(TEXT : Proverbs 3:5)

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

FOCUS :

In the next two days we will be considering you “PUTTING GOD FIRST IN ALL YOU DO.” In our open scripture for today, there are three points that I will like to bring out. First, “Trust” second, “thine heart”, and third, “thine own.” “TRUST IN THE LORD.” Trusting in God for something or trusting God for all things in our lives, gives us an assurance that “all will be well with us and that we will finish well.” However, quite a few number of believers can’t wait for God’s time, because they can’t equally trust in His “ability or agility” of doing what they might considered “impossible” to them. So, instead of wasting their time waiting and trusting God to do their impossible for them, they rather go against God’s will to get it possible for themselves in an evil ways.

Psalms 20:7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

Psalms 56:11 In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.

Psalms 62:8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

In addition, “WITH ALL THINE HEART.” Many believers out there has many holes of doubts, wounds, scares, heartbroken, hatred, unforgivness, bitterness etc. in their hearts; due to their past relationships with other believers they found themselves around. So for their hearts to trust in God even in the midst of so “called Saints”; it will be a bigger problem, because their hearts it’s always troubled. However, Jesus told us as believers: “let not our hearts be troubled;” because even though from our “hearts comes the issues of life”, yet let our hearts stayed focused on God and not human beings.

Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Finally, thirdly, “LEAN NOT UNTO THINE OWN UNDERSTANDING.” In the kingdom of God, there is nothing like “my own ways”; even from the beginning the Trinity works together. The Father worked with the Son, the Son worked with the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit worked with God. And this is to show to us that we also need God in the journey of life, if we must succeed at all. There is absolutely nothing you can do on your own too been a human being; and this is one of the reasons God initiated marriage, so that the journey can be smooth with your partner around you. Your human wisdom can’t take you far in the journey of life, your human knowledge can’t walk you through tough and rough journey of life and still give you safety, your level of understanding it’s not enough to promote you even a bit into the next phase of opportunity.

Genesis 1:1-3, 26 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Genesis 2:18, 23 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

Psalms 75:6 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.

Proverbs 3:35 The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.

(TEXT : Proverbs 4:19)
The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

FOCUS :

As I conclude on this series today: “KNOW WHO YOU ARE”, don’t forget that yesterday we spoke about the JUST, but today we are talking about the wicked. You see, there is absolutely nothing beautiful in one hiding in the darkness, you are only putting yourself in doom. There are many in the world today, who they have deliberately walked themselves into the camp of secret society, secret cult, kidnapping, bandit, genocide sponsoring, muggers etc. and with that, they have already associates and identified themselves to become an enemies of God.

James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

In addition, no matter how wise and prudent you might be, if your ways are evil in the sight of God, then you are a wicked as far as God is concerned. The standard and pattern the devil has been able to raise for those who are his followers are: to “steal from those who are in the light, kill the joy of those who are in the light, and destroy the plans of God concerning those who are the light even before they get to know about the plan of God concerning them.” However, for you in the Light, you can’t steal from the darkness, but you can “outsmart the devil’s strategies”; you can’t kill the darkness, but you can “keep your little light on”; and you can’t destroy the darkness, but you can “outshine the plans of the darkness.”

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Finally, John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus is the “only way that leads to God, He is the only truth that is spoken directly from the throne of God into the world for our transformation, and He is the LIFE through which we are all a living being.” However, the devil has a way of lying to some people who their hearts, minds, souls, spirits, and bodies are already filled with the “ways of darkness”: and because of all this things around their lives, they can’t see light coming but only darkness always. The ways of those who are in the dark are always an abomination unto God because they are always full of evil. What ways are you following at the moment, “the way of the WICKED or the way of the JUST? But I will beg you to follow the way of the JUST, so that it can be well with you always.

Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

(TEXT : Proverbs 4:18)

But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

FOCUS :

In the next two days we want to talk about the “path of the JUST and the WICKED.” The beautiful thing about the just is that, the light in their path never goes off and will never rundown; in as much they are connected to the original source of LIGHT. Jesus is the Light of the JUST and He is ready to shine through every single JUST who relays on Him for their day-to-day energies.

John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

John 12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

In addition, when you are saved, you are no longer in the dark, because your path are now being guided and strictly protected by the “Light of Truth” that comes straight from the Word of God. If you are just as the Bible has declares you to be, you automatically have nothing to do with darkness; because you are changed from darkness into His marvelous LIGHT.

Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Colossians 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Finally, And that is why the works of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life must be far away from your path; because you are now a “NEW CREATURE” living in the dark to shine God’s lights for all those who are lust in the dark. Even though there is darkness everywhere you turned in this world, as long you remain being the just, Jesus Christ the Light of the world, will always be your ever light shining in the dark time, in the dark seasons, in the dark hours, in the dark moments, in the dark situations, in the dark environments, in dark societies, in the dark communities, in the dark systems, and even in dark conversations\communications.

2 Corinthians 5:15-18, 20 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

(TEXT : Isaiah 3:11)
Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.

FOCUS :

As I conclude on this series, we will like to discuss about the second part of this scripture; which talks about “the wicked.” Yesterday, we spoke about those who are called “the righteous” by God Himself. However, today, in my own eclectic view wickedness can be interpreted in divers ways: for instance, if you steal it’s wickedness, if you kill it’s wickedness, if you don’t forgive it’s wickedness, if you keep malice it’s wickedness, if you commit adultery it’s wickedness, if you fornicate it’s wickedness, if you are masturbating it’s wickedness, if are lesbians it’s wickedness, if you are homosexual it’s wickedness, if you are bestiality it’s wickedness: and if you robbed God in payment of your tithes, offerings, first-fruit and vows, you are “A WICKED FELLOW.”

Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

1 John 5:17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.

In addition, some people might say: thank God I go to the house of worship regularly, I fellowship with the saints and not sinners periodically, I sing very well, I danced so powerfully, I shake hands and hugs with so many to the extent I lost my count etc. but deep inside of you, you are filled with hatred, bitterness, and you lack LOVE; that is where your wickedness starts from. Not until you backstab someone physically that we all have to know that you are a “murderer”; you are already a murderer from the day you find it difficult to “forgive.” And with that it shows that you are wicked and you cannot receive from God.

Psalms 7:11 God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

Finally, the level of wickedness in the mindset of the so called believers are so notorious. In the Word of God, we read it loud and clear that “thou shall not kill”, but as a believer you can’t even count how many times you have abort children, “thou shall not bear false witness”, but allegedly, you laid wrong accusations against an innocent and vehemently gang-up against the meek to make him or her become weak so that you can stepup: that is WICKEDNESS. And the truth is, God says: “it shall be ill with him”; because all your ways before God are “ABOMINATIONS!” Which one do you wanna be, “the RIGHTEOUS or the WICKED”? The choice is yours, but choose wisely.

Proverbs 28:1 The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

(TEXT : Isaiah 3:10)
Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

FOCUS :

In the next two days will be talking about “the righteous and the wicked”; and this is to bring out what God knows about you. It is very easy to note those who are genuinely “righteous” in the house of God, in the communities, in the societies, in the environment, and even in your social medias. You can’t be righteous by mouth, you can only do that by your positive intention, humble deeds, and by living a “holiness” example.

John 13:14-15 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.
For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

In addition, for God to mention you as righteous fellow, that means, you are “truly a child in His sight.” Meaning, for you to be called a righteous fellow, you must be willing to submit yourself unto God like a child. Because God is the only perfect God and the only righteous God in heaves, on earth, and underneath. So if God says you are a “righteous”, as long as you are “my child”; you are whatever I AM. As I’M perfect in all things and through my righteousness I made all things, you can become who I AM. Let me repeat this, “nobody is PERFECT and there is absolutely nobody that is RIGHTEOUS except God!

Isaiah 41:26 Who hath declared from the beginning, that we may know? and beforetime, that we may say, He is righteous? yea, there is none that sheweth, yea, there is none that declareth, yea, there is none that heareth your words.

Matthew 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Finally, “it shall be well with you as a righteous,” because the one living inside of every righteous fellow, Himself is the “HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL.” And if God Himself is living in you, definitely you will eat the fruit of your doing, for God is not evil and He can never be fruitless. As a righteous child, you must be “faithful for you to be fruitful”; and this is how you can show your “seed of righteousness” to the whole world.

Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Romans 4:3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

(TEXT : Philippians 2:2)
Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

FOCUS :

It is desire of God and what pleases Him the most, is to be seeing the joy of all His children been fulfilled. When your joy is still half-full for instance, it doesn’t make God happy, because there is no way you will be able to fulfill God’s purpose for your life with “sadness or being sorrowful.” So apparently, it gives God Himself joy whenever He looks towards your direction and see you always joyfully. Don’t allow your heart to be troubled and frustrated.

John 16:22-24 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

In addition, however, sometimes the situation around your life, the circumstances around your ministry, the challenges around your marriage, the difficulty you might have to face in your career path, and of course, some enigma\conundrums that you might have to face in your journey of Faith: don’t forget that you must have the “like-minded” as our Lord Christ in all things and in all ways. Anywhere you go in the world, don’t allow your joy to be trade with. You have nobody’s permission or approval before you can express your joy with no reservations, so go ahead and do whatever you gotta do to keep joy moving.

Philippians 2:5
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Philippians 3:15
Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

Finally, the joy of the enemies and that includes the devil which is there master, is to you see sad. And you can only keep enemies sad, only if you keep the “activation mood” of your Joy on always. You know, the easiest way to make your enemies go crazy and completely mad, is you always joyous and they never seems to know the source of your Joy. They can only see the results of you been joyfully, but not allowed to how it’s always happens. Let nothing and nobody, rule over source of your joy.

Job 8:19
Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow.

Proverbs 12:20
Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.

(TEXT : James 1:2)
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

FOCUS :

In the journey of life, there is no how wise you are, prudent you might be, intelligent you may sound, smart you could be, rich you are, influenced you might have become, or even spiritual awakening you might be: “YOU MUST BE TEMPTED.” The journey to the cross for our Lord Jesus Christ, wasn’t a smooth journey: rather, it was rough, tough, tempted, tested and brutal.

In addition, people might promise you heaven and earth the moment they can still breath with the two hole in their nose. But the moment they can only breath with just one of the hole in their nose, “you are own your own.” However, in the life of any believer, temptation its not negotiable. And that is why we must expect temptations from any angel, but if we are always on the Lord’s side, you will always overcome, because you are not made by God to be defeated by the devil.

Job 1:7-12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

Finally, among every believers “temptations”; will always come towards us at every journey of our Faith. The devil will tempt you, and He will still use human beings like yourself to persecute you and to torment you. You must make up your mind to sustain your level of endurance so that you can “testified” in the journey of faith. Little frustration here and there, persecution here and there, provocation here and there, torment here; and of course, little temptation here and there: will sooner or later “leader you to your promise land.”

Job 42:12 So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.

(TEXT : Ephesians 4:8)

Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

FOCUS :

Gifts are something that are commonly known from God and from men. When Jesus came into this world, He came as a result of “GIFT” to all mankind to free us all from the power of sin, from the hands of Satan and from the captivity of sorrow and suffering. There are some gifts that you will receive that will set you apart for permanent victory and there are some gifts that will come your way that will land you in bondage permanently.

2 Kings 5:26-27 And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants? The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.

In addition, when Jesus ascended to heaven, He releases upon all men “gifts”; and this gifts are given to us all according to our abilities. There is absolute nobody in this world that doesn’t have in him or herself “a gift” to show forth. Jesus died on the cross by given Himself up as a “sacrificial gift”; for all mankind. So if you are not using or showing forth your own gift, that means, you are an “ungrateful” fellow.

Matthew 25:15-18 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.

Finally, you can as well give yourself as a gift to people around you. And you might want to ask that how do you make yourself available as a gift for others? Give people your time, give people your material things, share with people your knowledge, share with people your resources, hold people’s hands for prayers, fast on behalf of people, and lead people to worship God your Maker. You have been gifted to be a “GIVER.”

Matthew 25:35-40 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

(Text: Genesis 21:9)
And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking.

FOCUS :

The effect of the birth of Isaac, a work of the Spirit, was to make manifest the character of Ishmael, a work of the flesh. The end result of the “mocking” was that Ishmael actually desired to murder Isaac.

Galatians 4:29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

Ishmael was probably eighteen to twenty years old at this time. Isaac and Ishmael symbolize the new and old natures of the believers. Hagar and Sarah typify the two convents of works and Grace, of bondage and liberty. The birth of the new nature demands the expulsion of the old. Is is impossible to improve the old nature. However, foolish, therefore, appears the doctrine of moral evolution. Allowed to remain, Ishmael would murder Isaac; allowed to remain, the flesh will murder the Spirit.

Genesis 21:10 Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.

In addition, it is always a struggle to cast out this element of bondage, that is, salvation by works, of which this is a type. For legalism is dear to the heart. Ishmael was the fruit and, to Abraham, the fair fruit of his own energy and planning, which God can never accept. The Divine way of holiness is to “put off the old man,” just as Abraham “put off” Ishmael. Man’s way of holiness is to improve the “old nature,” that is, to improve Ishmael. The effort is both foolish and hopeless.

Genesis 21:10 Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.

Finally, It is labor lost to seek to make a crooked thing straight. Hence, all efforts after the improvement of nature are utterly futile, so far as God is concerned. THE “FLESH” MUST GO, which typifies the personal ability, strength, and efforts of the Believer. The Faith of the Believer must be entirely in Christ and what Christ has done at the cross. Then, and then alone, can the Holy Spirit have latitude to work in our lives, bringing forth perpetual victory. It must ever be understood, “in Isaac (in Christ) shall your seed be called.

Genesis 21:12 And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.
