(TEXT : Psalms 102:13)
Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.
FOCUS :
This particular scripture is very loaded, and can easily point you to what God is capable of doing for any of His children, in their time of trouble or needs. The very first thing, we learn about this verse is that: “Thou shalt arise.” Whenever God arises on your behalf, your enemies are in a big “mess and you will surely becomes God’s clear message of all time.” God will not just arise and be looking at you or leave you in the hands of your enemies to defeat you, He will arise because He will always “glorified and honored Himself” in your circumstances. Give God chance and let Him arise on your behalf.
In addition, the second thing, we learn here is that: “have mercy upon Zion.” God showing you Mercy does not mean you deserve it or you qualified for it, but because God is merciful and just; you will obtained “peace with God.” Zion is the dwelling place of God, therefore, anyone living in this place, you are automatically “living in peace with God, and people will be peaceful with you.”
James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
The third thing, we learn is that: “for the time.” Our God is a God of “time and seasons.” God chooses the right time and the best time He knows it is suitable for your condition and that time will not surely pass you by. Everybody in this world has their time allocated to them, for them to manifest in their season. Wait patiently for your time, because your testimony is around the corner.
John 2:3-8 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece. Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.
Finally, fourth thing, we learn is that: to favour her, yea, the set time, is come. To be favoured comes with “time and season.” When favour speak upon your life, all your many years struggles, labours, hardship, pains, sorrows, suffering, afflictions, frustrations and rejection; all in just one day can become “history of testimonies and rejoicing.” When favour is on the move on your behalf, all laws and protocols are subjugate and subjected to work in your convenience.
Luke 5:4-7 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.
