SACRIFICE THAT LEADS TO SALVATION!

(Text : Genesis 15:6)
And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

FOCUS :

Genesis 15:7 And he said unto him, I am the LORD that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it.

The Lord now reaffirms and, greater yet, expands the Revelation. We find from the examples of the Bible Greats, and our own experiences as well, that the Lord has to constantly reaffirm His Promises to us. And as well, to strengthen our Faith. It doesn’t take much to weaken our Faith, despite our claims to the contrary.

In addition, Genesis 15:8 And he said, Lord GOD, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it?

Abraham asks two questions, “What will You give me”? And “Whereby shall I know?” Christ is the answer to the first question; the covenant to the second.

Genesis 15:2 And Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?

Genesis 15:9 And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.

The covenant is founded on the Grace, for five living creatures are Sacrificed to establish it. Five in the Scripture is the number of Grace; and these five Sacrifices set out the fullness of the great Sacrifice of Calvary. The ” heifer symbolized the Priestly Office of Christ. The ” she goat ” symbolized His Prophetic Office. The ” ram ” symbolized His Kingly Office. Jesus was Priest, Prophet, and King. The ” turtledove ” symbolized His being led and guided strictly by the Holy Spirit, while the ” young pigeon ” symbolized Him obeying the Spirit in every capacity.

Finally, Genesis 15:10 And he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the birds divided he not.

The dividing of the three larger animals in Sacrifice, which means their bodies were literally cut in two pieces, with one piece on one side and the other piece on the other, signified the terrible depth of sin which the Cross alone could answer.

Genesis 15:11-12 And when the fowls came down upon the carcases, Abram drove them away. And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.

The fowls represent the opposition to the Cross by demon spirits, and Abraham drove them in the Name of Jesus, we also have power over demon spirits and, as Abraham, we must “drive them away.” The “great darkness” represent the sufferings which would come to God’s people Israel and, as well, to Saint presently.

(Text : Matthew 10:22)
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

FOCUS :

“The far you can see, will determine the higher you can go in journey of life.” Yesterday we spoke about “endurance in the ministry”; if you must succeed in walking with God, you must be ready to bend and enroll yourself in the school of “endurance.” Ministry is not a “MAGIC but it’s a MANTLE” given to you either through a “man of God or directly from God Himself.”

In addition, in the school of ministry, endurance is your passport that approves you that you can travel to anywhere in the world for the works of the ministry. Your level of endurance will show how patient you can be to even “WIN A SINGLE SOUL FOR THE LORD JESUS.” Sometimes, to preach to a soul and for the soul to abide in the Lord, it might take five years before assuring the Lord this “single soul” belong to you. And that is why, “your endurance is your endorsement to your stewardship.”

1 Samuel 17:34-36 And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.

Finally, even our Lord Jesus Christ came into this world for the “lost souls”; and He was humble and was able to endure to go after “a single lost soul” that gone missing. You must be able to endure shame, hardship, and humiliation for the sake of the ministry you are called into. Because all of this aforementioned, are part of the package that comes with “MINISTRY.”

Matthew 18:11-14 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

For how can I endure to see the evil that shall come unto my people? or how can I endure to see the destruction of my kindred?

FOCUS :

For every believers in this world “endurance” is one of the important thing we must consider in our “Daily Cross.” We should be ready to forbear one another in the journey of faith. Life is not balance, but with the help of the level of your endurance, you will balance all in the race.

In addition, today, let talk about your endurance in the ministry. In that ministry you are right now you need endurance to succeed. Because you will face lots of persecutions, afflictions, temptations, tribulations and even many challenges on this path. But you only need one key to win in the battlefield, and that is “endurance.” In ministry, there are levels of “foolishness” you will have to accommodate and there are levels of submission you might need to acknowledge if you must grow spiritually.

Finally, sometime, you might need to act like a “fool” in other for you to flourish at the long run. You don’t have to know at what level should you ENDURE; just obey and ENDURE. It might be tough and rough on the journey, but endurance will keep you going higher; even though you don’t seems to see yourself going towards the height. Endure discipline, endure training if you had to, endure sacrifice if it’s part of the journey to your ministerial assignment. Sooner or later, you will realize that “Ministry is a Mystery.”

Endurance comes with price, with bearing so many things, patiently believing so many things that might come through for you perhaps, in short time, and of course, you need to put your hope on at all time in God. Many at times it takes a lot for you to swallow and for you to still be breathing perfectly at the same time.

In addition, Exodus 27:2 And thou shalt make the horns of it upon the four corners thereof: his horns shall be of the same: and thou shalt overlay it with brass.

This Altar of indestructible wood was to be “overlaid with copper.” Until the metallurgy of the not-too-distant past, cooper had a greater resistance to fire, even than gold or silver. It would consequently protect the wood, that it would not catch fire and be consumed. “The copper plates on the Altar protected it from the fervent heat and prevented it from being burned up; so Christ passed through the fires of God’s wrath without being consumed. He is mighty to save, because he was mighty to endure.”

Finally, many people, including your family members will shake you, many things will shake you, many challenges will come your way, many storms will cross your path, many silence weeping will drop at your eyes and of course, you will be called many names by your heaters. But “endurance” will always keep you moving and not just moving, but going forward; and not just going forward, but going higher than every of your enemies. However, there are categories of endurance, we will only talk about few in this series as we continue.

I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,

FOCUS :There are lots of souls out there who are just wondering about and have no rest even for their souls. Our Lord Jesus is so much passionate about every single soul that are heading to perish. However, we all should know, that this is what brings the devil’s joy when he sees that souls are going to meet with him in hell someday. You know, one thing is certain about the devil, does not replenish; he only uses and abuses.

In addition, the first step for penitent soul; until that step is taken, the realization of need, nothing can be done; the word “arise” tells us that the journey to God is always upward, while that with Satan is always downward. The young man did not plead extenuating circumstances, lay the blame on others, or plead wrongs done to him; he placed the blame squarely where it belonged, upon himself; confession of wrongdoing us always demanded by God 1John 1:9.

Finally, Luke 15:19-20 And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

This present the second requirement – admitted unworthiness. Present the position of humanity, which is necessary; however, God has never received one as such. In other words, He will never make a “hired servant” out of a “son.” The Father was earnestly looking for him, the Lord always looking for compassion. The only occasion given in the Bible of God running, and that is to welcome home a lost soul. No matter how far you have gone into the world, God can still bring you to Himself and cover your nakedness.

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

You are the best version of God’s light even in this present world. Light does not bow to the darkness nor to the people operating in darkness. Light shines and rules, and that’s why we are “Princes and Princess; Kings and Queens” in this world.

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

In addition, the people who are in the dark hates those of us who have chosen to be living in the light; but we that we are living in the light appreciate it more to associate with those who are in the dark. As a light in this present world, we are meant to be leading those who are in the dark into the LIGHT and not the dark people leading us into the darkness.

2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

Finally, when Christ was in this world, He was the LIGHT OF THIS WORLD. And the same thing is applicable to us as believers, because we are His example presently in this world. In this brand new year 2026, let make up our minds with our right decision to shine CHRIST to the people who are lost in the dark.

John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

John 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

John 12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
