And Esau was forty years old when he took to wife Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and Bashemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite:

FOCUS :

Genesis 27:1-3 And it came to pass, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, he called Esau his eldest son, and said unto him, My son: and he said unto him, Behold, here am I. And he said, Behold now, I am old, I know not the day of my death: Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison;

As the physical dimness, there was spiritual dimness as well. Isaac called on Esau not Jacob, they were just few minutes; in fact, they were twins, but totally dissimilar in both appearance and character. Esau sold his birthright for a mess of pottage; his (Isaac) was prepared to sell his own for a dish of venison! “Humbling picture of a man of God under the power of his lower sensual nature.”

In addition, Genesis 27:4-5 And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die. And Rebekah heard when Isaac spake to Esau his son. And Esau went to the field to hunt for venison, and to bring it.

This was to be the blessing of birthright; Isaac had been told by God at the time of Jacob’s birth that Jacob was to possess the birthright. But yet Isaac ignores this Word from the Lord, and proceeds in his determination to give the birthright to Esau, despite the fact that Esau knew the Lord not at all. Now, Rebekah overhearing the intentions of Isaac, proceed now to manage the affairs herself; therefore, she steps outside the path of Faith defending Jacob instead of Esau.

Finally, Genesis 27:6 And Rebekah spake unto Jacob her son, saying, Behold, I heard thy father speak unto Esau thy brother, saying,

The history of Jacob is a treasure house of spiritual instruction for the people of God; Jacob as no other man symbolizes the sanctification process. Jacob symbolizes it so well, because he is a sad illustration of the destructive power fallen human nature.

And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint:

FOCUS :

Genesis 25:27 And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents.

The original Hebrew proclaims Esau as a wild, undisciplined man, and Jacob as quiet, mature individual; he was sensible, diligent, dutiful and peaceful.

Genesis 25:31 And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.

The birthright then dealt primarily with spiritual things, of which Esau had no regards or concern. It had to do with the earthly inheritance of Canaan, but would take place hundreds of years in the future. It referred to the possession of the Covenant Blessing, which individual his seed being as the stars of the sky and all the families of the Earth being blessed in him. As well, it was the progenitorship of the Promised Seed, which was the greatest Blessings of all, and spoke of Christ the firstborn was to receive the birthright, and Esau was the firstborn.

Finally, Genesis 25:32-34 And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob. Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.

Esau bartered future and eternal wealth for present and temporary need. He had no concern for spiritual thing, so the birthright means nothing to him. Jacob, on the other hand, deplorable as was his character, valued Divine and eternal blessing; and, had he placed himself in God’s Hands, the prophecy made to his mother before he was born would have been fulfilled to him, and without the degradation and suffering which his own scheming brought upon him. The material heart places no value on the things of God, as we see evidenced in the choices made by Esau. To the natural heart, God’s Promises are vague, valueless, powerless thing simply because God is not known. Upon that which unredeemed cannot see, they place no value. Thus it was with Esau.

And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padanaram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.

FOCUS :

Satan hindered the birth of Jacob for twenty years. God overruled the malice of Satan to emphasize once more the great truth that He displays the riches of His Grace and Glory where nature is dead; this is a principle in the spiritual Iife which nature is unwilling to learn.

Genesis 25:22 And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD.

They were twins in her womb; two energies struggled within her, the one believing and the other unbelieving, and were present even before they were born; it is like the two natures, sin nature and Divine Nature, within the believer. Could be paraphrased, “if, in answer to prayer, God is about to give me the joy of being a mother, why am I so physically oppressed that I am in danger of death”; it must indeed have appeared perplexing to her that such an answer to prayer should be accompanied by such mysterious suffering.

Finally, Genesis 25:23 And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.

Those two nations were Edomites and Israelites; from the time of their birth, Esau and Jacob would be sperated, dividend, even hostile for they would have nothing in common. Jacob who was younger, would be the stronger, but only through the Lord. Every person is born with sin nature, which makes that the “elder”; th Divine Nature comes into the believer at conversion, and is the younger. However, if we follow God’s pattern of victorious living, which is Jesus Christ and Him Crucified, “the elder shall serve the younger,” meaning that the Divine Nature will be victorious over the sin nature.

(TEXT : John 15:12-13)
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

FOCUS :

By the grace of God, we have come to an end of this series. For the past four (4) days now, we have been discussing about how “LOVE OVERCOME ALL”; and it should be explicit by now that any believer who is not living according to the love of God, you are a bastard child, and every bastard child is always “a child of the devil.” And of course, any child of the devil, he or she is automatically “influenced” by the things of this world and not the things from the Word.

Philippians 2:5
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

1 Corinthians 4:16
Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.

1 Corinthians 11:1
Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

In addition, it’s so sad that the kind of love we are showing to ourselves as believers nowadays, it’s not an “AGAPE LOVE.” Our Lord Jesus Christ, He came into this world to lay down His life for us all, that through this “opportunity” we might be loved by God and learn how to show this same love to one another; so that we can all live joyfully and peacefully with one another.

1 Thessalonians 1:6
And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:

Finally, the whole world is in a “big mess” today because there is no LOVE. Because if there is love, you won’t be so heatless to kill a human beings like yourself, use part of the bodies for ritual, eat some (when it is not a goat beef or chicken), drinking human beings blood (when it’s not water or a red wine), heats your fellow human beings that is trying to rise, flattering ourselves instead of lifting ourselves up, greediness amongst the believers, unforgivness everywhere in the mindset of “so called the believers”; and sinners dying daily under our watch as a “BELIEVERS.” Instead of us to love one another, we are busy looking for power, recognition, fame, promotion, title, higher post, and positioning ourselves to oppressed those who God has positioned around our lives to be helped. I will like to end this series with this three questions: where is the love that Christ left with us? Is that same love still alive in us? Are we still demonstrating this same love among ourselves and to the unbelievers around us?

Mark 9:50
Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

FOCUS:

How can you claimed you love someone, and the person offended you and the next thing you do is to be keeping malice with the person. What kind of love is that? Even God who thought us how to love, He chasten us whenever we go astray, in the same manner, correct whoever that offended you or discipline the fellow instead of you killing yourself with grudges and malice.

Revelation 3:19
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

In addition, many believers has gone out of Faith because of the “love of money, fames or popularity.” Instead of focusing on falling in love deeply in Word, we are “consumed by the things of the world.” Some believers are only a believer simply because they just want to “express themselves, impressed others and to oppressed others.” Promotion of new post from “men” like them are what some believers are looking for, not minding the number of “souls” that are perishing and dying in silence under them.

1 Timothy 6:10
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Finally, in our Bible text for today: we are to love God “with our heart, soul and mind”; meaning, only the love of God should be what we are projecting to the world and to the unbelievers. You can’t be a believer and claim that you have the love of God in you, and someone beside you is desperately in-need of what you can let off, but you refuses to let go; and you think you have heaven somewhere waiting for you? You are just deceiving yourself.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

FOCUS :

If you can’t show love to God, through the Brothers and Sisters that you can see around you, then how can you claim that you love God that you can’t even see? There are many among the believers who claimed that they love, all is lies and deceit. Love never feels inherited and true love never complains; it only endure.

Romans 8:37
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

In addition, lots of believers can’t eat or even drink in other believer’s house, can’t sit on a seat where other believers stood from etc.. they smile at each other physically but inwardly, there are lots of beefing, hatred, unforgivness, bitterness and ungodly manner behavior going on around them spiritual.

John 21:17
He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

Finally, one of the things I have come to understand in this present world is that, “where there is no genuine love, there will be no Light (Jesus)”; and where there is no Light, there will be no leader to lead from the heart of God to His people; and where there is no leader, there will be no discipline; and where there is no discipline, there will be no discipleship. LOVE brings all the characteristics of God together in “uniform”; as believers presently living in this world, we are encouraged and supposed to be living in this uniformity and not we living outside it.

Hosea 14:4
I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.

(TEXT : 1 John 3:16)

Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

FOCUS :

Among the so called the believers, its so sad that we talk about love, but we are not practicing true love of God among ourselves. Among ourselves what we are practicing more is “jealousy, hypocrisy, envy, malice and gossiping about one another. Any believer that claims that he or she loves but practicing any of these aforementioned, that is not love, that is “LUNATIC.”

In addition, Christ has demonstrated how we should express our love towards one another either to believers or unbelievers. And any believer that is still finding it difficult to love as Chris did, he or she has just been possessed with opposite of love. Because love does not seek for the downfall of his or her “fellow human beings”; if you are doing that, that is you being “heatless.” Because the person you refuses to show love to, directly or indirectly, he or she is carrying upon himself or herself “the image of God”; so apparently, if you don’t show love to him or her, you are directly or indirectly not showing love to God who made you.

Finally, it’s not all your “gifts of love” that you give that are acceptable in the sight of God. Simply because they are not from the sincere heart of love, of God kinds of love; but rather from your “heart of evil, wickedness and eye-service.”

1 John 3:18-22 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

FOCUS:

As a believer in the world today, showing love towards one another, is what gives us victory over all our enemies. Sometimes, it might be difficult to show someone “the real love”; but let us always be remembered, that we can’t show love to anybody in the grave. If you have the opportunity to show love to anybody while you can, please, do that as soon as you can; for you don’t know what can happen in the next minute to the fellow.

In addition, if the love of God is “rooted” among we the believers, the world and the people in the world; will want to fellowship with God. However, it is so unfortunate, that even among we the children of God, the “true love of God” is not genuinely found. We are not talking about you grinning at someone, giving the person gift, or you are always seen around weak fellow; meanwhile, within you, you are seeking for the downfall of the person.

Job 19:19
All my inward friends abhorred me: and they whom I loved are turned against me.

Finally, it’s not all the love shown towards the vulnerable, needing, poor, stringers or the brokenhearted around us; that is truly God’s expected kind of love from us His true children. The end of our journey here on earth is coming near; how many people has been deeply touched with your “sincere and genuine love?” You don’t need to showoff because you want to claim you love, and you don’t have to pretend before you can prove that you are truly showing people around you genuine love. JUST LOVE!

But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;

FOCUS!

By the special grace of God, we have come to the end of this series. I believe the word “endurance” has so many things to do with the journey of our success in life. The how far you can endure in your day-to-day activities, will show how far you can become successful in all your endeavors.

In addition, today, let talk about endurance in marriage. There are level of endurance required if you must enjoy “a bliss marriage.” The fact that you get married to a “right person” does not mean you are in a “right path.” Many people got married to a right person, but they thought leaving everything in the hands of God without “both” had to work “patiently and enduring to work on each other” will perfect their marriage. Marriage is not magic or logical; it is a “REALITY.”

Finally, in marriage, the two parties had to firstly “endured each other before enjoying each other in marriage.” There is no “readymade husband and there is likewise no readymade wife” on market for sales; and that is why there is no marriage that is 100 percent perfect. In fact, there are some that their own is on 10 percent, and in their own way, they are “perfect”; while there are some their own is in 30,40,50-60 percent, yet their marriage is full of “lies and deception.”

Marriage takes lots of sacrifice, understanding, and commitment; and in all this processing, you are going through the “school of endurance and as well accommodating each other.” Because the person you married to doesn’t have the same upbringing as you are, doesn’t have access to Cambridge as you are, doesn’t have “vision” as you are, but (he or she) might likes watching television as part of (his or her) childhood habits. Marriage is sweet if you can “endure, tolerate, and accommodate” each other in love and not in lies. ENDURE one another, TOLERATE one another, and ACCOMMODATE one another, and your marriage will be heaven on earth.

James 1:12
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

(Text : 2 Thessalonians 1:4)
So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:

FOCUS :

The work of endurance come across all facets of our lives: in business, entrepreneurship, friendship, relationship, marriage, career, and even in the ministry. Because if you can’t endure in business, you won’t make profit out of that business; and if you can’t endure working as an entrepreneur, you won’t know how to meet the needs of the people around you.

In addition, today, let talk about your endurance in “business and as entrepreneur.” In all our persecutions, the Bible encourages us to stay endured; because, there are lots of things for us to learn. In that business you are doing, “learn to learn and be ready to unlearn what you have learnt” in other for you to grow. For every businesswomen and businessmen, “skills, talents, potential and value will creates business for you, but your level of endurance will sustain and make that business profitable for you. Every business required endurance and you can’t expect profit overnight; so yes, be enure you are “ENDURING.”

2 Timothy 3:11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.

Finally, another way in which God can test our level of endurance is being “an entrepreneur.” Because you see, as an entrepreneur, no matter what you are going through, you must be willing to accept “patient.” No entrepreneur will be in an hurry for cash out: the truth is, after your investment, you will need to wait patiently for your harvest. Because as an entrepreneur, you are like a “shepherd” that you have many sheep you must patiently lead to their pasture; and you can only succeed in doing that if only you can “ENDURE TILL THE END.”

2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they (THE SHEEP) will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
