(TEXT : 1 Corinthians 1:17)
For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
FOCUS :
The good news of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is the work of Grace, is expected to be shared across the whole world without limits or restrictions. Unfortunately, we are at the end time and yet, many souls are still battling in the lust of the flesh and in all kinds of sins. It is very sad to say, that even many that have been saved are now the ones that the devil is using to discourage or chase away those who supposed to be approaching the Cross today. Even some pastors are already forgotten that there’s something called “eternity rewards.” Money, power and position are what some folks are chasing after, instead of preaching the Gospel to the lost souls around them.
In addition, in the memory verse, apostle Paul made it cleared that “For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel.” Paul understood the purpose of his calling and he was so passionate in doing it. As believers, our primary assignment is not to be busy looking for money, title, recognition, recommendation, position, building houses, or building fames; and act like the souls that goes to hell daily are not our responsibility. To have all these aforementioned, is good, but if you are saved and you never try to win soul into the Kingdom of God, you have just missed the great rewards that is waiting for you in Heaven.
Finally, the work of SOUL WINNING it is not only about the pastors in the household of Faith or the evangelism department alone; it is for every believers who are “GENUINELY BORN AGAIN IN THE HOUSEHOLD OF FAITH.” The work of salvation is for every believers to carry and we must take it very serious on a daily basis. The end time is here, the devil is busy polluting the minds, souls, and hearts of many young people; and turning them against the will of God for their lives. If you go to social media today, people are busy “selling their souls” to the devil for fames and for money; and when you come to the body of Christ of today, some believers are busy fighting for position, title and (power). Meanwhile, SOULS are perishing on a daily basis and Jesus second coming is approaching, but we are carried away with the things of this world instead of we rooted in the Word.
