(TEXT : Psalms 9:18)
For the needy shall not alway be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.
FOCUS :
Yesterday, we started this series and we are made to understand by the leading of the Holy Spirit; that giving to the poor or needy it is not for us to decide, it is God’s commandment and we must obey the law. However, it is quite unfortunate, that many of us watches the poor and the needy died even at their point of begging for your benevolent gesture towards their obvious and basics needs; but what did you do? You look away or giggling about them, while they faded away in the shadow of death and in their desperation of needs. When you preach prosperity and flourishness, and you have been given to, look for those who are less to your standard and become a blessing to them. They don’t have to be the one looking for you to be blessed in prosperity, you can as well be the one flourishing the entire community with your prosperity that you have received by the God of abundance.
Job 5:15
But he saveth the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.
Job 30:25
Did not I weep for him that was in trouble? was not my soul grieved for the poor?
Proverbs 14:20
The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends.
In addition, yesterday, also in my write up I stated that “you are been rich so that you can reach out to some certain places ordinarily you wouldn’t have imagine you could reach.” So, meaning, your riches promotes you and announced you even to the responsibilities God had attached to your riches. Riches can grow wings and fly away without any notification bell, and that is why when you have it in your two hands now, you also need to spend it without any notification approvals. Except God declined you from spending it after giving it to you. And which I believe this part can have lots of reasons God won’t allow you to spend it. Because nobody knows when it is he or her time to die, however, there are good works and there are bad works that will follow each and everyone of us to our “SIX FEET UNDER WORLD”; where your money and riches are completely useless, pointless, irrelevant, frustrating, and devastating.
Luke 16:19-24 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
Finally, help those who you can help now while you are still alive with all the riches God has given to you. There is always a Joy unspeakable that will filled up your heart when you do the right thing and helped the right poor and needy people out there. Of course, Jesus was not received by everyone, but He was literally sent because of all sinners. Likewise, your riches might not be for everybody, but for the fact that you are rich; you are made rich because of some certain people who needs to benefit from your riches. Locate them, help them, enrich their kitchen, enrich their pockets and most importantly, let your riches win their souls to Jesus Christ who made you rich.
2 Corinthians 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
