(TEXT : Jeremiah 32:27)
Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
FOCUS :
Whenever God asked a question, He did so to be sure that you are still on the same path with Him. God won’t ask you a question without Him providing an answer to whatever He had asked and any questions you throw at God, be prepared for the answers. For instance, you claimed that you are saved genuinely, but the works of the flesh are still part of your lifestyle as a “child of God; so you call yourself.” So, God want to be sure, are you really still my child or you have been adopted by the devil through the works of the FLESH?
Luke 4:1-8 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
In addition, from time to time God would like to be checking up on us His children: and that is why He asked us questions in His Word periodically, to put our “level of growth in Him” into test. To confirm if we still have Faith in Him, believe in His Word, trust in His promises spoken concerning us, and hope to see Him in Heaven someday? If God asked you to give your car, house, empty your bank account or sponsor someone abroad for schooling; can you be obedience to all these without questioning or without doing them with “eye services or showoff”?
1 Kings 19:20-21 And he left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I pray thee, kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow thee. And he said unto him, Go back again: for what have I done to thee? And he returned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen, and slew them, and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave unto the people, and they did eat. Then he arose, and went after Elijah, and ministered unto him.
Finally, sometimes we the believers are the answers to many questions unbelievers are asking about God. For example: some unbelievers don’t keep malice and they forgive easily, but unfortunately, many believers does keep malice and doesn’t forgive each other so easily. Some unbelievers render help (to both believers and unbelievers) without asking questions; meanwhile, many believers will still be busy looking for a Bible passage that talks about “Biblical Giving to the needy and the poor” before they can be convinced to render each other help. Many unbelievers shows kindness, love and charity towards one another, but it is very unfortunate, that the must of the believers shows hatred, envy and deceit towards one another.
