(TEXT : James 4:14)
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
FOCUS:
Many people in their big titles and possibly in their position, believed that they “owned their lives”; therefore, with that they can do anything with it without anybody questioning them. Yes, you can be a billionaire, trillionaier or even something bigger; but that does not change the fact that you are still going to die one day. And when you die, where are preparing for yourself to spend your eternity? In hell fire or in Paradise? According to God’s design for our lives, we are meant to be giving God glory and to be worshipping Him for that which He is doing in our lives and for those things He is yet to do in lives.
In addition, many people have forgotten who they are in this world completely, and they are just wondering about like a “walking-dead person.” Yes, they accumulated monies, positions, title almost everywhere, connection, power; but unfortunately, they are not satisfied. The truth is: whatever it is that we have in this world, they are all going to remain in this world after we are gone for the generations coming after us.
Finally, let our lives be an attractiveness of God’s peace, love, joy, charity and meekness towards one another. The best meaning we can all give to our lives now is to learn to submit to the one who is the author of our lives. Because in the grave, the life you think you owned, will be lifeless and useless. The life you are placing more value and priority on now, than the original owner Himself (God), will be one day “disappointed” you. Your life is nothing, when God is not the one leading it.
