(TEXT : Deuteronomy 8:18)
But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
FOCUS :
There are many source in which one can become rich overnight or even in the process; but at the end, the riches has no “solid foundation.” And because that kind of so called riches has no solid foundation, that foundation will soon fall off and collapse. You can make your riches through any means, but if the source is not from God, that source surely comes from the devil source. And because the riches comes from “the devil source”, the life or lives involved in “evil riches”, will be claimed by evil forces.
Proverbs 28:20
A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.
In addition, many people wants to be rich at all costs and ready to do anything no matter what the condition. Unfortunately, nothing come from the devil for free. Every single sources that flows through the devil comes with consequences and deadly penalties. For instance, you want to go into fashion show, TV show, Hollywood or you want to make quick money, and fame; you must be really be ready to make lots of handshakes with the devil. And in exchange, “life for lives and soul for souls.”
Proverbs 13:7
There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches.
Finally, It is only God who gives sure sources of power to make rich without any complications or any “evil sacrifices.” Jesus had already made Himself as a form of sacrifice for all our “sins and needs” on the Cross. And the only thing we need to do is to claim our own portion of (salvation and wealth), by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and personal Saviour and to embrace what He had done for us all on the Cross. Wealth will flow when your salvation is absolute.
Proverbs 10:22
The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
2 Corinthians 8:9
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
