(TEXT : Matthew 5:9)
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
FOCUS :
The Bible says: “if you are a peacemaker, then you are automatically a child of God”; meaning, be as peaceful as possible as your Heavenly Father is. Unfortunately, many believers are not having peace amongst themselves, not to talk more of having peace with God. As believers, our character, attitude, personality, identification, relationship with others, and our outward & inward; should be as exactly as that of “Peace” that our Lord Jesus Christ is talking about.
1 Thessalonians 5:3
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
In addition, when Jesus is talking about Peace, He is talking about you as a believer to be “peaceable” with those whom perhaps, they are in “pieces or trouble” already. As believers people with tears and subbing can come to you and found relieved; people with brokenhearted should be able to be comforted whenever they reached out to us. Because when we chased them away, where else did we expect them to find PEACE and REST for their souls? However, it is very sad that many unbelievers would rather preferred to go into the world to find themselves “that kinds of worldly peace,” instead of coming to us to seek our Lord Jesus Christ kinds of Peace. And this is not supposed to be so at all.
Romans 12:18
If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
2 Corinthians 13:11
Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
Finally, it is simple, we can’t give what we don’t possessed and we can’t pretend to call ourselves a peacemaker while we ourselves knows within ourselves that we have no peace amongst ourselves. As a believer, you want to be a peacemaker? “Charity begins from home;” you will have to start from there. Believers, let be peaceful with our neighbors, with ourselves, with our spouses, with our children, with our friends, with coworkers, business partners, and most importantly, with other believers.
Hebrews 12:14
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
