INCREASE OF WIDOW’S OIL (PART 2)!

(TEXT : 2 Kings 4:2) And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.

FOCUS :

Don’t allow Satan to full you, you are not born to be debtor; “but the enemies has done this.” Yesterday, we spoke about the fact that Elisha asked the widow “what shall I do for you?” This in my own interpretation means, the man of God (Elisha) asking “what is your problem or how may I help you woman with your two sons.” Please, I am willing to render you help, provide you will be willing to follow my simple instructions and directions. I am just imagining this at the moment, that if every believers (genuine ones), could be like Elisha who is willing to listen and being ready to helped. Who is not judgemental, condemning the woman and her two sons, or discriminating (whether I’m for Paul and your husband is for Peter); I want to be believe the whole world be in a better place. Elisha in the case of this widow played the role of our Lord Jesus Christ and how He was willing to given “His listening to as many sinners who are willing to hear His calls and turned back to accept Him as their Lord and personal saviour.”

In addition, this brings us to the second key pont in this (part 2). The next question Elisha asked was: what hast thou in the house? What do you have in the house as a believer will definitely determines how fast your breakthrough will be. Yes, you are broke and poor; but no matter how hard things might be for you right now, don’t exposed yourself all out to the public. The response of the woman gives an assurance that she is willing and ready to be debt free. And she said, “Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.” So, as a believer, never allow your house to be dried up with “OIL.” Because God might decides to use that oil to bring you breakthrough that will lead you to your next level.

Finally, for the Christian, the “house” is our physical body (1Conri 3:16); the Holy Spirit represented by the “pot of oil,” is supposed to fill the house; this women has a small pot of oil, but nothing else. As a believer your “oil” must not go out; just as the fire on your altar must never go out. Meaning, the “oil” represent the Holy Spirit, whatever it is that you are going through now, never let go of your relationship with the Holy Spirit; because He will always guide you to the right people you never know. No matter how little your relationship is with the Holy Spirit, you can always rest assured that you are in a safe hands.

Leviticus 6:13
The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.

1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
