FOCUS :

This will bring us to the end of this series. And today also we will be talking about the breakthrough that this widow woman experienced through the help of the man of God.The very first thing we can learn about this widow woman in this verse is: “Then she came and told the man of God.” In other words, she came to share her testimony with the man of God. Every believers must be willing to share their testimony even in the presence of God’s own people. Our testimony brings shame to the devil and through our testimony, we will stand the chance to receive far more than expected from God. The widow woman came back to give testimony of how all her empty vessels are been filled with oil, and that mark the beginning of her breakthrough, victory over poverty and a great turning point in her life.

Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

In addition, here is the second thing we should take note of in this verse: “And he said, Go, sell the oil.” Here the man of God giving the the widow woman another divine instruction; because “she obeyed and willing to share her testimony.” The man of God does not need the oil obviously, but the widow woman still came to show the man of God how great “her little nothing oil increased to filled many empty vessels in her room.” As a believer can you be “faithful” enough to return all the glory back to God even in that little miracle He performed through you? Remember, if you are faithful in the little, much more will be committed into your hands.

Luke 19:16-17 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds. And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.

Finally, this will bring us to the last thing we can learn about this widow woman: “and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.” The man of God told her to use this oil money to pay her debt and “live with the rest.” That means, the oil really yielded more than enough income beyond the expectation of the widow woman. As believers if we will do the “right thing at the right time”; we will always have beautiful results from God. Whatever God has committed into your hands, be faithful with it and God will make the little in your hands “fruitful” (increase). After this final encounter of the widow woman, there was no record that this woman was ever broke or ever go bankrupt again. Meaning, “God multiplied her through the little oil in her house” and she never had to borrow again for rest of her life. Have faith in your own little oil, be faithful to every divine instructions given to you and God will make you fruitful in your marriage, ministry, business, career, academy and health wise.

Luke 19:18-19 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds. And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.

Luke 17:15-19 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.
