(TEXT : Matthew 5:16)
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
FOCUS :
The light of God in the lives of the believers it is an evidence of “God’s good works.” The more of God’s light you shine, the more His good works extends to the whole world through you to the world. Preaching the gospel it’s as the same as you shining the light throughout the whole world; and men will see the good works of God in your message. Many people had been saved for many years, but unfortunately, the only things they are just accumulating it’s figure, titles, position, power, and not “shining their light through the lost souls.” The truth is, if you are saved and the salvation given to you cannot be experienced by the unsaved people around you, you are not a light but a loser.
Luke 12:35
Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;
In addition, the light every believer had received are not to be covered neither should it be hidden. But when light fails to shine, darkness won’t hesitate to rule. No matter how little your light might be right now, there are still numbers of souls in the dark who are destined to tap from that your “little light.” Sadly, many unsaved souls are dying in darkness, because their souls are trapped in the darkness, while even we the saved ones with our light, we are growing wreaker and the light we are carrying is going dim.
2 Peter 1:19
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Finally, you are a light when you win souls, you are a light when you make yourself a giver, you are a light when you help those who falls to rise up, you are a light when you pray for others whom you have never met in your entire life, you are a light when you meet the needs of the poor, you are a light when the kingdom of God expands through your watch, you are a light when you encourage those who have no hope of living again, you are a light when you put a smile on at least one or two persons in a day; and you are a light when you give the right counsel and guidance that leads to the path of salvation and righteousness. Make good useful of your light as a believer while you are still here on earth, you don’t need it in Heaven; because the one there are already enough for the eternity.
Genesis 1:16
And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
