(TEXT: 2 Kings 7:2)
Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.
FOCUS :
We will be journey in the next few days in another series. When Faith is on action in the relationship of any believers between them and God; it makes it very much easier to receive from God. But when we allow unbelief to take charge of our Faith, then we have just exposed ourselves to danger both from men and even from God. The reward of unbelief would be death, as the reward of unbelief is always death. In the journey of life, if it’s the Lord who is leading you just follow Him in Faith; and all will always be well with you at the end.
In addition, 2 Kings 7:3 And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die?
Leprosy in the Old Testament was a type of sin. Its horrid desperation was such that, in the eyes of Israel, a leper was hopeless. How many Christians find themselves presently in such a perilous condition, a condition we might add, so disastrous that there is no help from any quarter expect your Faith in God. Nevertheless, no condition is such that God cannot change it. “Why sit we here until we die?” In this very word of theirs, you can feel FAITH. How many Christians have given up? How many Christians have quit? FAITH demands action not procrastination. That is why we could see the four lepers here, that they both activated their FAITH to “move forward.”
Finally, sometime as a believer, you need to have some “Craziest Faith” before you can be able to move your mountains. The leprosy in the lives of these four able men, can be seen as a “mountain;” in their individual lives. But thank God for their lives that they didn’t allow their “background to put their back on the ground.” Yes, they admitted that they have a “single but” in their lives, and they also agreed in their decision by faith that they will survived whether the devil likes or not. What is your own leprosy at the moment? Your own present leprosy might be far more terrible than these four lepers; but remember to hold on to your Faith and you will always come out strong.
